Everyone loves this easy, dreamy 5-minute Cream Cheese and Marshmallow Creme Fruit Dip, made with cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and lime juice. It’s delicious with a variety of fruits and crackers and perfect for entertaining, snacking, holidays, and family gatherings.

What we love about this Marshmallow Cream Cheese Fruit Dip
We have made this fruit dip for years. It is easy, delicious, and tastes so good with so many things. With only 3 ingredients: cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and lime juice, it comes together in less than 5 minutes. It makes a great summer snack or after-school treat; it’s a fun dip for potlucks and entertaining or a great appetizer for gatherings and holidays.
We love it with a variety of fruit, but apples seem to disappear the fastest. Make sure to have lots of sliced apples for dipping. Some great fruit options include grapes, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, or bananas. We also love it with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or, for a salty-sweet combo, pretzels.

Cream Cheese Marshmallow Cream Fruit Dip
I know what it’s like when you don’t have everything on hand, and the last thing you want to do is run to the store and pick something up. Here are a few ideas to substitute items on the ingredients list if needed:
- I don’t recommend substituting the cream cheese or marshmallow creme for this recipe. There are other sweeteners to add to cream cheese for different dips, like Cool Whip, sweetened whipped cream, yogurt, etc. However, for this dip, those two ingredients are the base.
- We have recipe-tested this with orange juice, lemon juice, and vanilla in place of the lime juice, but we prefer the lime juice.
- You can make this a two-ingredient recipe with just the cream cheese and marshmallow creme; it is still good, just a little extra sweet. We like the balance of flavor from the lime juice, and the lime juice also improves the texture so it is easier to stir and dip.

Step 1. With an electric mixer and a medium-sized bowl, or a stand mixer, beat together the cream cheese and marshmallow creme. Blend in the lime juice.
Step 2. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately with your choice of fruit (see note below the recipe). It’s also good with graham crackers or vanilla wafers.
Tips

- We love this dip with a variety of fruit, but apples seem to disappear the fastest. Make sure to have lots of sliced apples for dipping. Some great fruit options include grapes, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, or bananas. We also love it with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or, for a salty-sweet combo, pretzels.
- When serving with apples, to keep the apples from browning with this recipe, I squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over the apples and mix to coat the apples.

Frequently Asked Questions
| How to store Cream Cheese and Marshmallow Creme Fruit Dip? Can you make the dip ahead of time? |
| a. Yes, you can absolutely make the dip ahead of time 1-2 days beforehand. You may need to give the dip a quick stir before serving if the dip has slightly separated. Also, if the cream cheese has slightly hardened after refrigeration, let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving so it’s easier to dip into. b. This dip lasts 3-4 days, tightly covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container in the fridge. To keep it food safe, it should not be out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. If you are outside in the heat, it is only safe for one hour if left out and not refrigerated. If it has been left out in the heat for longer than that, I wouldn’t keep it to serve for later. c. I don’t recommend freezing the dip as the consistency and texture will change. |
