These Mummy Pretzels are a fun and spooky Halloween treat. With just three ingredients, they are an easy, no-bake snack that kids love to help make and eat. Their cute faces and delicious sweet and salty combination make them the perfect treat for a Halloween celebration, class party, movie night, or goodie bag.

What we love about these Halloween Pretzels
These pretzels are so fun! You can’t help but smile when you are making them, it’s like each pretzel has has its own personality. I was inspired to make them after seeing some for sale in a local deli and decided I could just as easily make them at home. Kids love them, and it is a fun Halloween snack for kids to help make.
It’s really easy, and fast. With only three ingredients, it comes together quickly. You just follow the directions for melting the wafers on the back of the package, and the chocolate sets in the fridge in 5-10 minutes once the pretzels are dipped. I put extra melted chocolate in a ziploc bag and cut off the tip to drizzle the chocolate and make the mummy strands. They are excellent for making ahead of time and freeze very well.

You will need the following ingredients:

- Olde Tyme pretzels (large crunchy pretzels)
- Candy eyeballs
Mummy Pretzels Substitutions
I know what it’s like when you don’t have everything on hand and the last thing you want to do is run to the store and pick something up. Here are a few ideas to substitute items on the ingredients list if needed:
- There are a lot of brands of white candy melts you can use, I would just follow the instructions on the back of the package. Melted white chocolate chips could work too, but I haven’t recipe tested with those.
- If you can’t find the Olde Tyme pretzels, you can use pretzel rods or smaller pretzels.
- I like the big candy eyes with the big pretzels, but you can use smaller eyes as well.
Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1. Melt the wafers according to package directions. I usually use a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl in the microwave, and make sure and stir well after heating the wafers in 15 second intervals until completely melted. This is done in 1-2 minutes.
Step 2.Using a fork, pick up a pretzel and place it in the melted white chocolate. Turn and ensure that the entire pretzel is covered. Lift the pretzel with the fork and let the excess white chocolate drip into the bowl until the bottom pretzel hole (the mouth of the mummy) doesn’t have chocolate in it. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining pretzels.

Step 3. Place the remaining melted chocolate (you can reheat it for a few seconds if needed) in a ziploc bag, remove any extra air, and seal it. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Squeeze the bag and drizzle the white chocolate back and forth horizontally over the pretzels to create the mummy wrapping. Fill in the top two holes of each pretzel with a little white chocolate and place a candy eyeball in each hole.
Tips

- I like using wax paper to line a cookie sheet to set the dipped pretzels on to set. They don’t stick to the paper and it helps with cleanup.
- I have the recipe quantity as 12, but these are easy to double with another bag of candy melts or by just dipping the pretzels once. The container of candy eyeballs I recommend have a variety and you could easily make up to 24.
